Colour Doppler Echocardiography
It is a painless, non-invasive test, without any health hazards. It detects the presence of holes in the heart, obstruction or leakage of heart valves and 'murmurs' of the heart in children and is ideal for pregnant women who cannot be exposed to X-rays.
24 hour Ambulatory Electrocardiography Monitoring (ECG Holter Monitoring)
It is particularly effective for patients who experience cardiac symptoms while working or sleeping, but are deceptively normal at the physician's clinic. The patient wears a miniature ECG machine for 24 hours and is expected to follow the daily routine of work, except bathing. The ECG's are recorded continuously and the readings analyzed. |
